Jewish Heritage Fund Scholarship
PARAMETERS
- The scholarship provides for on-campus housing and dining alone. It does not cover tuition fees, travel expenses, course books, insurance, visa fees, etc..
- The scholarship is a voluntary effort on the part of the Jewish Heritage Fund and therefore no legal claim of any kind can be made on the title.
- The awarded scholarship amount is determined by the following factors: country of origin of the applicant and his/her personal financial status.
- The country from which an applicant emigrated less then 8 years ago is considered to be his or her country of origin.
- The scholarship must be reapplied for every academic year. The following factors decidedly influence the amount of the scholarship: academic success, Jewish Learning Program and social behaviour.
- Extraordinary cases will be examined by a special committee.
- The scholarship is tied to a required grade average of 2,8 maximum.
- If the information provided to the fund by the applicant proves to be false, the fund may exercise its right to reclaim all the scholarship money, including both index and interest.
- Whichever information is suspected by the board of the fund to be false, exaggerated or incomplete (e.g. an unrealistically low income), will be dismissed as an invalid criterion for consideration.
- Participation in the LBS Work-Study Program represents a large component of the scholarship.
- Every graduate is encouraged to reimburse the fund in the amount that she or he received during her or his LBS studies, according to the graduate’s financial abilities. This encouragement is not legally binding, nor is it limited to any timeframe. It is stipulated as a courtesy toward the future needy Jewish students in mind.
